A Taliban spokesman recently explained: “Our fight is Jihad and an obligatory worship. And every obligatory act of worship has 70 times more reward in Ramadan.”

The Islamic State no doubt believes that as well.

“BAGHDAD BLAST: ISIS militants detonate bomb outside popular ice cream shop; 31 dead,” Fox News, May 30, 2017:

The death toll of a deadly nighttime bombing outside a popular ice cream shop in central Baghdad has risen to 31 as ISIS militants claimed responsibility.

Iraqi officials said families with children were enjoying a late-night snack after breaking their fast for Ramadan when the explosions went off.

A closed-circuit camera video of the explosion shows a busy downtown avenue, with cars driving down the street when a massive blast strikes.

Then, a huge fireball engulfs a building, forcing the cars to scramble to get away. Videos of the attack posted on social media show wounded and bloodied people crying for help on the sidewalk outside the ice cream parlor.

The attacks come as ISIS militants are steadily losing more territory to U.S.-backed Iraqi forces in the battle for Mosul, the country’s second-largest city. The Sunni extremists are increasingly turning to insurgency-style terror attacks to detract from their losses.

Al Jazeera reported that a number of those hurt were on the ground and propped themselves on colorful benches outside the shop. It is unclear how many of the dead were children, but the report pointed out that one girl, wearing a ribbon and bow in her hair, wandered around in an apparent daze after the blast.

In the second attack, an explosives-laden car went off during rush hour near the state-run Public Pension Office in Baghdad’s busy Shawaka area, killing 14, a police officer said. At least 37 people were wounded in that attack, he added.

Police and security officials say the explosion in the Iraqi capital’s bustling Karrada neighborhood early on Tuesday also wounded 27 people. The officials spoke on condition of anonymity in line with regulations.

The Islamic State group claimed responsibility, saying a suicide bomber carried out the attack. Officials told Al Jazeera that the explosives were placed in a parked car.

“[ISIS] wants Iraqis to fear going out and this is to show they are still present and able to strike the heart of the Iraqi capital, even as they are being defeated on the battlefield,” Hayder al-Khoei, a London-based Middle East expert, told Al Jazeera….

MANCHESTER REFUGEE TERRORIST NEVER HAD A JOB, WAS ON STUDENT LOANS

Clearly the British taxpayer wasn’t paying Salman Abedi enough not to work. If only he had been getting twice as much, surely he wouldn’t have carried out the attack.

One former detective said jihadists were enrolling on university courses to collect the student loans “often with no intention of turning up”.

Abedi was given at least £7,000 from the taxpayer-funded Student Loans Company after beginning a business administration degree at Salford University in October 2015.

It is thought he received a further £7,000 in the 2016 academic year even though by then he had already dropped out of the course. Salford University declined to say if it had informed the Student Loans Company that Abedi’s funding should have been stopped.

Separately, the Department for Work and Pensions refused to say if Abedi had received any benefits, including housing benefit and income support worth up to £250 a week, during 2015 and 2016. It would only say he was not claiming benefits in the weeks before the attack.

Abedi, 22, never held down a job, according to neighbours and friends, but was able to travel regularly between the UK and Libya.

Abedi also had sufficient funds to buy materials for his sophisticated bomb while living in a rented house in south Manchester.

Six weeks before the bombing Abedi rented a second property in a block of flats in Blackley eight miles from his home, paying £700 in cash.

He had enough money to rent a third property in the centre of Manchester from where he set off with a backpack containing the bomb.

Abedi also withdrew £250 in cash three days before the attack and transferred £2,500 to his younger brother Hashim in Libya, who is accused of knowing about the attack in advance.

The Muslim massacres of British people is being paid for by those being massacred.

WHY CAIR LEADER HASSAN SHIBLY FEARS A TERROR DESIGNATION FOR MUSLIM BROTHERHOOD

On February 23rd, CAIR-Florida Executive Director Hassan Shibly posted onto Facebook a New York Times puff piece written by former Muslim Brotherhood media spokesman Gehad el-Haddad, who is currently serving a life prison sentence in Egypt for inciting murder. The piece is titled ‘I Am a Member of the Muslim Brotherhood, Not a Terrorist.’ In it, El-Haddad states that he wrote the piece due to “an inquiry… underway in the United States regarding charges that the Muslim Brotherhood… is a terrorist group.” El-Haddad’s concern about labeling the Brotherhood a terror group is shared by Shibly, as Shibly’s own group becomes part of the conversation.

In November 2015, Ted Cruz and Mario Diaz-Balart introduced the Muslim Brotherhood Terrorist Designation Act of 2015, respectively in the US Senate (S.2230) and the US House of Representatives (H.R.3892). It has been a matter of speculation as to whether President Donald Trump will get behind this effort. Further speculation has revolved around including certain Islamist groups and entities who have their roots in the Muslim Brotherhood.

On February 12th, Hassan Shibly tweeted the following: “Trump’s plan to declare the Muslim Brotherhood a terror group is about going after American Muslims.” The words were the same as the title of an article published in mic.com, an alternative news site, which Shibly provided a link to. The article quotes CAIR-National’s Government Affairs Director, Robert McCaw. According to McCaw, “[D]esignating the Muslim Brotherhood as a terrorist organization is the Trump administration’s strategy to carry out McCarthyesque witch hunts on Muslim leaders and organizations within the United States.” And by “organizations,” of course, McCaw means CAIR, whose association to Hamas, the Brotherhood’s violent Gaza affiliate, is well known.

CAIR or the Council on American-Islamic Relations was created in June 1994 as part of an umbrella group led by then-global head of Hamas, Mousa Abu Marzook, called the Palestine Committee. CAIR has been named by the US government a co-conspirator for two federal trials dealing with the financing of millions of dollars to Hamas. CAIR had used its official website to raise money for the defendant in the trials, the Holy Land Foundation (HLF). Many CAIR representatives have served jail time and/or have been deported for terror-related activity, including former HLF head and founder of CAIR’s Texas chapter, Ghassan Elashi.

CAIR’s Florida chapter reflects the same violence-driven extremism of its parent organization. In July 2014, CAIR-Florida co-sponsored a pro-Hamas rally in Downtown Miami, where rally goers repeatedly shouted, “We are Hamas,” “Let’s go Hamas,” and “Hamas kicked your ass.” Following the rally, the event organizer, Sofian Abdelaziz Zakkout, wrote in Arabic, “Thank God, every day we conquer the American Jews like our conquests over the Jews of Israel!”
