Abortion Clinic Threw Woman to the Curb Despite Vomiting and Swaying So Much She Looked “Drunk”

A British inquest Thursday heard how a Marie Stopes abortion clinic allegedly urged a woman to leave after her late-term abortion even though she was vomiting and swaying when she walked.

The woman, Aisha Chithira, 31, of Ireland, died later that evening of massive internal bleeding, The Evening Echo reports.

New details about the tragic 2012 incident are coming to light this week in an inquest in west London. Two years ago, the abortionist, Adedayo Adedeji, and two nurses Gemma Pullen and Margaret Miller at Marie Stopes in Ealing faced manslaughter charges in Chithira’s death, but the charges later were dropped. Prosecutors did not explain why.

Here’s the latest from the Echo:

She suffered a tear to her uterus during the “blind” procedure performed under anaesthetic, as a surgeon struggled to remove a 22-week-old foetus from a womb that had not fully dilated, West London Coroner’s Court heard.

Afterwards, she vomited in a stairwell and complained of feeling unwell to her husband, but was helped into a taxi to a cousin’s home in Slough by staff at the clinic. They had told her she could not stay overnight.

One of the nurses denied they had pressured her to leave because they had wanted to go home.

Corinne Slingo, representing Marie Stopes, said: “The taxi driver says he saw his passenger walking out of the building. He was quite shocked, she didn’t seem with it at all.

“She looked like she was drunk.”

Reading from a statement, she added: “The nurse got her in a hug and she said ‘don’t do that, you will break my bones’.”

Pullen, one of the nurses who stayed to look after Chithira, said she was the last patient in the building and did not leave until about 8:30 p.m. However, Pullen claimed Chithira was walking normally when she got into the taxi, and they did not pressure her to leave.

The nurse admitted Chithira had been hyperventilating and complaining about being hot.

Later that night, Chithira died from catastrophic internal bleeding from a tear in her uterus, according to the report.

The abortionist, though admitting Chithira’s late-term abortion was difficult, denied that the tear was his fault.

The report continues:

The surgeon, who said he had performed around 2,000 terminations, said the procedure was performed “blind” but added: “On this occasion, the head was really right up the uterus and I decided to use the (ultrasound) scan to look at exactly where it is.

“The neck of the womb was not that compliant in the sense it was not dilated, it was not satisfied.

“There was a small tear at the neck of the womb at the right side caused by the foetal parts that were coming out .”

Keep up with the latest pro-life news and information on Twitter.

He denied it could have been caused by damage from his surgery or from him cutting a fibroid, adding: “There was no bleeding, it wasn’t at the time that it was bleeding.”

The inquest is scheduled to continue Friday.

Interestingly, the same year that charges against the abortionist and nurses were dropped, the British government temporarily shut down some of the Marie Stopes’ operations after inspections revealed numerous health and safety violations. The abortion chain later was allowed to resume all abortions after promises to fix the problems.

However, in 2017, the British Care Quality Commission found that Marie Stopes facilities had botched nearly 400 abortions in a two-month period. Then, it found evidence that Marie Stopes was pressuring women to have abortions by incentivizing staff with bonuses.

One of its Australia facilities also is facing a lawsuit after a woman said she almost died there from an abortion. The woman claims a Marie Stopes abortionist failed to recognize that she had an ectopic pregnancy before the abortion.

Despite all this, Marie Stopes continues to function as one of the largest abortion chains in the world, and receives British tax dollars to support its work.

Most recently, the very abortion facility where Chithira died lobbied for and received a 100-meter (328 foot) buffer zone to prevent pro-lifers from reaching out to women outside. Marie Stopes claims the buffer zone is important to protect women’s “safety.”

Pro-life advocates contend the real reason for the buffer zone is because Marie Stopes is losing abortion business.

Germany: Muslim migrant children beat vegetarian fourth-grader over false claim he ate pork, victim is hospitalized

“Migrants bully and beat up German boy for eating pork – an ambulance was needed,” Voice of Europe, April 19, 2018:

After German daily newspaper “The Tagesspiegel” asked their readers to tell about incidents of school violence and bullying, they received a lot of replies.

“Our son is in fourth grade at a middle school and has been bullied since the first year. He was abused, beaten and kicked because he is German. Classmates call him ‘German pig’, ‘pig’ and ‘German potato’. At his school are mainly children with a migrant background. Most are Muslims,” one family says.

The boy and his family live in Berlin-Mitte, which is a multicultural neighbourhood, according to them. “We like to live there, we have a motley circle of friends. But our son being bullied and attacked for allegedly eating pork is simply unbearable for us. He does not even eat any, we are vegetarians.”

“In addition to countless insults that he has to listen to daily, our son was kicked down a staircase and beaten several times in the schoolyard – sometimes in front of the teacher. He was picked up from school by the ambulance more than once”, the family continues.

The boy once had to stay in a hospital for a weekend because a classmate had kicked him in the stomach and it was unclear whether any organs were injured, the family tells The Tagesspiegel. “There have been six incidents so far in just one year. We do not want to take this anymore”….

YES, “ITALY MUST REMEMBER ITS … PAST” WITH ISLAM

https://www.frontpagemag.com/fpm/269916/yes-italy-must-remember-its-%E2%80%A6-past-islam-raymond-ibrahim

Raymond Ibrahim is a Shillman Fellow at the David Horowitz Freedom Center.

Although the conflict between Islam and the West is not an aberration but a continuation of history, the strategy of those who seek to whitewash and thus empower Islam is to fixate on peaceful aberrations while suppressing the continuum of hostility.

Thus, in “Italy must remember its pluralist past,” Akbar Ahmed, Chair of Islamic Studies at American University, Washington, DC, highlights uncharacteristic episodes from Italy’s past with Muslims in an attempt to convince Italians to be even more accepting of Muslim migrants.

Before looking at his claims, some actual historical context concerning Italy and Islam—otherwise devoid in Akbar’s article about the “past”—is needed.

Once the jihad was unleashed from Arabia, not only was Italy bombarded and under threat for centuries, but as the seat of Rome—the capital of Western Christendom, i.e., Infidel-dom—several ambitious caliphs and sultans especially targeted it, often while making the perennial Islamic boast that they would be first to turn St. Peter’s altar into a feeding trough for their horses.

As early as the seventh century, “the nation of the Saracens that had already spread through Alexandria and Egypt,” wrote Paul the Deacon (b. 720), “came suddenly with many ships, invaded Sicily, entered Syracuse and made a great slaughter of the people—a few only escaping with difficulty who had fled to the strongest fortresses and the mountain ranges—and they carried off also great booty…and thus they returned to Alexandria.”

By 846 Muslim fleets managed to land on the coast of Ostia, near Rome. Unable to breach the walls of the Eternal City, they sacked and despoiled the surrounding countryside, including—to the shock of Western Christendom—the venerated basilicas of St. Peter and St. Paul. The invaders vandalized the two holy shrines, desecrated the tombs of Christendom’s two most revered apostles, and stripped them of their treasures.

Such sacrilege prompted Pope Leo IV to erect strong walls and fortifications along the right bank of the Tiber to protect the basilicas and other churches from further Muslim raids.  Not ones to be deterred, “in 849 the Muslims attempted a new landing at Ostia; then, every year from around 857 on, they threatened the Roman seaboard,” explains French medieval historian C. E. Dufourcq.

Indeed, the following entry from Ibn al-Athir’s history dealing with southern Italy and Sicily is indicative of the quantity and quality of these Islamic invasions:

Another raid [in 835] directed at Etna and the neighboring strongholds resulted in the burning of harvests, the slaughter of many men and pillage. Another raid was again organized in the same direction by Abu al-Aghlab in 221 [according to the Muslim calendar, which in this case corresponded to Christmas Day, 835]; the booty brought back was so extensive that slaves were sold for almost nothing.…In the same year, a fleet was sent against the [neighboring Christian] islands; after having taken rich booty and conquered several towns and fortresses there, they returned safe and sound. In 234 [August 5, 848], the inhabitants of Ragusa made peace with the Muslims in exchange for surrendering the town and what it contained. The conquerors destroyed it after having taken away everything that could be transported. In 235 [July 25, 849], a troop of Muslims marched against Castrogiovanni and returned safe and sound, after having subjected that town to pillage, murder and fire [Ye’or 2010, 289–290].

Sadistic treatment for the infidel always accompanied the raid; for “it was to the amusement of the Saracens to profane, as well as to pillage, the monasteries and churches,” notes Edward Gibbon.  “At the siege of Salerno a Musulman chief spread his couch on the communion table, and on that altar sacrificed each night the virginity of a Christian nun.”

Although centuries of crusades largely safeguarded Italy and Sicily from further Islamic attacks, by 1480, Ottoman Sultan Muhammad II invaded Italy and captured Otranto.  More than half of its twenty-two thousand inhabitants were massacred, five thousand led away in chains. On a hilltop (subsequently named “Martyr’s Hill”) another eight hundred Christians were ritually beheaded for refusing to convert to Islam, their archbishop sawed in half.

Here is how French priest Jerome Maurand described the fate of the inhabitants of the tiny island of Lipari off Sicily after it was invaded by the Ottomans in 1544: “To see so many poor Christians, and especially so many little boys and girls [enslaved] caused a very great pity.…The tears, wailings and cries of these poor Lipariotes, the father regarding his son and the mother her daughter…weeping while leaving their own city in order to be brought into slavery by those dogs who seemed like rapacious wolves amidst timid lambs.”

Failing to comprehend why the Muslim conquerors so wantonly tortured the now enslaved population—including by slowly gutting the old and infirmed with knives “out of spite”—he “asked these Turks why they treated the poor Christians with such cruelty, [and] they replied that such behavior had very great virtue; that was the only answer we ever got.”

Finally, a great many of those millions of Europeans enslaved and sold in Muslim Barbary between the fifteenth and nineteenth centuries were originally seized from the Italian coastline and Sicily.

Needless to say, these centuries and events—documented in my book, Sword and Scimitar: Fourteen Centuries of War between Islam and the West—never make it in Akbar’s article, “Italy must remember its pluralist past.”

Instead—and because his agenda is to prompt Italians to be even more accommodating of Muslim migrants—he ignores the constants while fixating on those aberrations that might validate his thesis:

Italy produced Christian leaders such as Roger II, the King of Sicily, and Frederick II, the Holy Roman Emperor, King of Sicily, and King of Italy, who spoke Arabic, had Muslim bodyguards, and featured Arabic inscriptions on their royal mantle. Muslims and Jews were permitted to live by their own laws, and the jewel of Sicilian architecture, Roger’s twelfth-century Palatine Chapel, incorporated Christian, Muslim, and Jewish influences.

Such is Akbar’s evidence concerning Italy’s “pluralist past.”  While his anecdotes seem a far cry from the aforementioned centuries of unwavering hostility, one is still at loss concerning Akbar’s point.  After all, few if any Italians today have a problem with knowing Arabic, employing non-Christians, allowing others to live according to their customs, or erecting exotic architecture.

Rather, they have a problem with facilitating the ancient jihad against their homeland by bringing in more and more Muslim migrants who act in accordance with the history that Akbar suggests never happened.

Canada: Muslim MP defends her association with antisemitic, jihad-linked Palestine House

“Liberal MP Iqra Khalid is pushing back against criticism over her decision to introduce a religious leader at an event” organized by the virulently antisemitic Palestine House. This story is a followup to the Jihad Watch post on Tuesday: “Canada: On Trudeau’s behalf, Muslim MP Iqra Khalid honours anti-Israel activists”.

Khalid participated in “Land Day,” which “symbolizes the Palestinian Authority’s (PA) determination to ‘liberate’ ‘Palestine’ by wiping Israel off the map.” After widespread concern was voiced about her involvement with jihad terrorists, Khalid lamely tried to excuse her actions by echoing Prime Minister Trudeau’s diversity mantra as her defense:

Like any MP, I engage with a diverse array of individuals, stakeholders and groups in my community-many of them I don’t agree with.

By now, Khalid’s deceit should be widely known. Accountability is owed to Canadians.

Khalid is in hot water for introducing an Assad supporter, Archbishop Atallah Hanna. Hanna is also a Palestinian activist who supports jihad suicide bombings. Khalid supports the antisemitic Palestine House, and Palestine House supports her, contrary to her attempts now to distance herself from it. At the celebration of “Land Day,” Khalid referred to the Public Relations head of Palestine House as “Brother Amin,” while he referred to her as his “dear friend” and promised: “we will work together for the next federal election in 2019.”

Conservative MP Rachael Harder was the first to raise the issue in the House, accusing Trudeau of sending Khalid, who represents Mississauga—Erin Mills, to “bring greetings on his behalf at an event organized by the anti-Israel Palestine House.”

The Conservative Stephen Harper government defunded Palestine House for “its pattern of extremism.” Last July, at a rally in Mississauga, “hundreds of people chanted in Arabic, ‘Remember Khaybar, oh you Jews, the Army of Muhammad will return!,’ in reference to an ancient battle in which a Muslim army defeated and slaughtered Jews in the Arabian Peninsula. On Nov. 4, the same protesters, led by Palestine House Public Relations Chief Amin El-Maoued, returned to Celebration Square to call for the destruction of Israel. With young children in attendance, protesters chanted, ‘Oh youth, join him, join him – the martyr has sacrificed his blood!’ In the context of the Israeli-Arab conflict, ‘martyr’ is often used as a euphemism for terrorist or suicide bomber.”

In January 2016, Khalid received a red carpet welcome from board members of the Palestine House in Mississauga, and a “large number of members of the Palestinian  community,” including Palestinian political activists. Khalid is also a former president of the Muslim Brotherhood-linked Muslim Student Association (MSA) at York University. MSA’s are “essentially an arm of the Saudi-funded, Muslim Brotherhood-controlled Muslim World League.” The Muslim Student Associations are also well known for their aggressive Boycott, Divestment and Sanctions drives on campuses to demonize and delegitimize the State of Israel, and for their intimidation of Jewish students.

Khalid’s attempts to distance herself from these unsavoury Islamic supremacists and jihadists followed an open challenge to her in Parliament. “Conservative MPs piled on her during question period for introducing Palestinian Archbishop Atallah Hanna” and “for giving an award to Amin El-Maoued… on behalf of Prime Minister Justin Trudeau.”

Conservative ethics critic Peter Kent confirmed MPs were referring to Khalid’s introduction of Hanna and to the award given to El-Maoued.

Khalid has already caused enough discord as a holder of public office. She introduced the anti-Islamophobia M-103. Backing Khalid were muscular Muslim Brotherhood lobbies. Canada’s first anti-Islamophobia motion, which passed in October, and the second, M-103, were built on petition e-411 by Samer Majzoub, who managed a Muslim Brotherhood-linked Montreal high school, and is a leader of the self-described Muslim Brotherhood-linked Muslim Association of Canada (MAC). Majzoub even accused Conservative MPs of “stoking a wave of anti-Muslim sentiment” in opposing M-103.

So while Khalid relentlessly pursued her “Islamophobia” agenda at any cost and flatly rejected the alternate phrase of “anti-Muslim bigotry,” which would have made it clear that M-103 was not meant to target all criticism of Islam, she has been closely aligned with jihadists who seek the destruction of the State of Israel.

“Khalid pushes back against criticism over event with Assad supporter”, by Janice Dickson, iPolitics, April 17, 2018:

Liberal MP Iqra Khalid is pushing back against criticism over her decision to introduce a religious leader at an event who reportedly supports Syrian President Bashar al-Assad.

“Like any MP, I engage with a diverse array of individuals, stakeholders and groups in my community-many of them I don’t agree with. I recently attended a community event with more than 500 community members and introduced a constituent of mine,” Khalid tweeted Tuesday.

“We’ve never discussed his views on international affairs. I’m proud that our gov’t has forcefully condemned the Assad regime and I too condemn in the strongest of terms the recent chemical attacks. I’ve worked hard on these issues in my subcommittee on international human rights,” she added on Twitter, without naming the individual in question.

Khalid’s tweets come after Conservative MPs piled on her during question period for introducing Palestinian Archbishop Atallah Hanna at an event in Mississauga, and for giving an award to Amin El-Maoued, the head of public relations at the Palestine House, on behalf of Prime Minister Justin Trudeau.

Conservative ethics critic Peter Kent confirmed MPs were referring to Khalid’s introduction of Hanna and to the award given to El-Maoued.

A blog post noted Khalid had made the introduction and shared a photo of the two of them. The site links to Hanna’s Facebook page where there are posts praising Assad. The information on the website and Facebook page has not been independently verified by iPolitics.

Conservative MP Rachael Harder was the first to raise the issue in the House, accusing Trudeau of sending Khalid, who represents Mississauga—Erin Mills, to “bring greetings on his behalf at an event organized by the anti-Israel Palestine House.”

“This event starred a Palestinian activist who supports suicide bombings and who met with President Assad of Syria in 2017….

Legalizing Assisted Suicide Has Created a Slippery Slope Leading to Euthanizing the Elderly

Advocates of legalizing euthanasia reject “slippery slope” arguments as unfounded fear-mongering and claim that its use will always be restricted to rare cases of dying people with unrelievable, unbearable suffering. But, as the Netherlands and Belgium demonstrate, that’s not what results, in practice.

The logical and practical slippery slopes are unavoidable and inevitable, because those consequences are built into the act of legalization through its justification of inflicting death. Once we cross the clear line that we must not intentionally kill another person, there’s no logical stopping point.

Let me explain.

When euthanasia is first legalized, the usual necessary and sufficient justification for breaching that line is a conjunctive justification comprised of respect for individual autonomy and the relief of suffering. But as people and physicians become accustomed to euthanasia, they ask, “Why not just relief of suffering or respect for autonomy alone?,” and these become alternative justifications.

As a lone justification, relief of suffering allows euthanasia of those unable to consent for themselves. Pro-euthanasia advocates argue that allowing euthanasia is to do good to suffering, mentally competent people. Consequently, denying it to mentally incompetent suffering people unable to consent is wrong; it’s discrimination on the basis of mental handicap. So suffering people with dementia or disabled newborn babies or children should be given access to euthanasia, as we have just seen legally allowed in Belgium.

And if one owns one’s own life and no one else has the right to interfere with one’s decisions in that regard, as pro-euthanasia advocates also claim, then respect for the person’s autonomy is a sufficient justification for euthanasia. That is, the person need not be suffering to have access, hence the proposal in the Netherlands that euthanasia should be available to those “over 70 and tired of life.”

And once the initial justification for euthanasia is expanded, why not allow some other justifications, for instance, saving on healthcare costs, especially with an aging population? Until very recently, this was an unaskable question.

Now, it’s being raised in relation to euthanasia. It’s anecdotal, but a final year medical student in a class I was teaching became very angry because I rejected his insistent claim that legalizing euthanasia was essential to save the healthcare costs of an aging population.

The practical slippery slope is unavoidable because familiarity with inflicting death causes us to lose a sense of the awesomeness of what euthanasia involves–killing another human being. The same is true in making euthanasia a “medical” act.

In summary, familiarity with inflicting death and making euthanasia a medical act makes both its logical extension and its abuse, in practice, much more likely, indeed, I believe inevitable. That means we need to stay firmly behind the clear line that establishes that we do not intentionally kill each other by rejecting the legalization of euthanasia.
