Doctor Spiked Pregnant Girlfriend’s Drink With the Abortion Pill Because He Didn’t Want to be a Father

A Virginia doctor who spiked his girlfriend’s drink with abortion drugs to kill their unborn baby has been punished for his crime.

The AP reports Dr. Sikander Imran, 32, of Arlington, Virginia is slated to spend three years in prison before facing deportation to Pakistan; he also lost his medical license.

He pleaded guilty to fetal homicide in March, according to Christian News Network.

Brooke Fiske, Imran’s girlfriend of three years, said he pressured her to have an abortion when he learned that she was pregnant in 2017.

“He didn’t want to have a baby so he tried to talk me into having an abortion… which I didn’t want to do,” Fiske said.

Later, Fiske said she traveled from her home in New York state to visit Imran in Virginia. She said she was 17 weeks pregnant, and her plan was to discuss with him how they would raise their child.

She explained what happened next to WROC:

“When I was drinking my tea in the evening I got to the bottom of the cup.  There was a gritty substance in there and when I looked at it, I could tell that it was a pill that had been ground up,” she said.

Just a few hours later – Fiske started having contractions.

“He [Imran] immediately started crying and said that he was a horrible person and that he had done what I thought he did,” Fiske said.

She was rushed to Virginia Hospital Center where she went into labor and lost her baby boy. Fiske says tests showed the abortion pill ‘Misoprostol’ was found in her system.

“According to the nurse at the hospital, it’s 200 milligrams to induce labor. So he gave me 800,” she explained.

At the sentencing hearing on Friday, Imran’s attorneys argued for leniency, claiming the doctor’s mental health was unstable at the time he slipped his girlfriend the deadly abortion drugs, according to ABC News.

Fiske also said she was more concerned about preventing such a horrible thing from happening again than the length of Imran’s punishment.

“What matters is that people hear this story and realize that either they need help themselves and they’re going to reach out and get it before something awful happens, or they realize that whatever weight, whatever tragedy, whatever pain they’re carrying, there is a way through it,” she said.

Not the first case of its kind, many pro-life advocates are concerned that these types of abuses could grow worse if abortion activists succeed in forcing U.S. pharmacies to dispense abortion drugs.

A very similar case occurred in Florida several years ago when John Andrew Weldon tricked his pregnant girlfriend into taking abortion drugs, killing her unborn baby. Welden was sentenced to 15 years in prison. Responding to the crime, Florida lawmakers passed an Unborn Victims of Violence law to protect unborn babies in such cases.

In 2015, Norwegian authorities convicted another man after he slipped abortion drugs into his pregnant ex-girlfriend’s smoothie, killing their unborn baby. That same year LifeNewsreported about a man from Indiana who was charged with attempted feticide after he allegedly mixed abortion-inducing herbs into the drink of his pregnant girlfriend.

LifeNews also reported the story of a New York man, Josh Woodward, who was convicted of attempted murder after he secretly gave his pregnant girlfriend an abortion drug that caused the death of their 13-week unborn child. Woodward’s girlfriend said she refused to abort their unborn baby, even though he was constantly pressuring her.

Forced abortions are a rarely discussed atrocity that occur more often that people realize. As LifeNews previously reported, one study found that as many as 64 percent of post-abortive women say they felt pressured or forced to have an abortion.

WMAF Crime: 24 year old Filipino woman abducted by Irish construction worker in his 40s. Suspect was shot dead. Police believe motive was sexual.

Gardaí will hold a case conference in Bray this morning as the search for missing Enniskerry Co Wicklow woman Jastine Valdez (24) intensifies around a number of south county Dublin and Wicklow border areas.

Her purse was found at a disused golf club in south Co Dublin on Monday and that area is now being combed by a large search team of gardai, troops and Civil Defence personnel.

Ms Valdez was abducted in Enniskerry on Saturday night after she alighted from a bus in the village and began walking her usual route home past the entrance to the Powerscourt Estate.

Witnesses reported seeing her being bundled into a Nissan Qashqai car which was later traced to the home of Mark Hennessy in Woodbrook a few kilometres away in Bray.

Gardaí were concerned about the reported abduction and were investigating the matter when Ms Valdez’s parents contacted them late on Saturday night to report her missing.

A second witness, a man, also came forward and told gardaí he had seen a woman travelling as a passenger in a dark SUV in the Enniskerry area. He said she looked distressed.

Dallas County candidate admits plan to reward his children who marry white, straight Christians, Have son who married a Vietnamese women

The estranged brother of a former judge running for county commissioner contacted the Dallas Morning News earlier this week with a bold assertion: that the candidate, Vickers ‘Vic’ Cunningham, was a lifelong racist.

Cunningham, a former criminal district judge, largely denied his brother’s accusations. But he confirmed to the newspaper that he had set up a living trust with a clause that would reward his children if they married a white person.

“I strongly support traditional family values,” Cunningham, 55, told the Morning News. “If you marry a person of the opposite sex that’s Caucasian, that’s Christian, they will get a distribution.”

The trust, in addition to other allegations of racist behavior, has already cost him an endorsement in a Republican runoff election on May 22 for county commissioner in Dallas County.

Cunningham said his views on interracial marriage have changed since 2010, when he created the trust. He said he is accepting of his son’s relationship with a woman of Vietnamese descent, for example — but he told the Morning News he could not change the terms of the trust.
