Former Abortion Clinic Staffers: Planned Parenthood Doesn’t Report Sex Trafficking of Women

A concerning new video features three former Planned Parenthood abortion clinic directors and staffers talking about the abortion company’s failure to report sexual assault and sexual abuse on young girls. In the video, the three former Planned Parenthood officials say that the abortion business discouraged reporting such cases of abuse on teenagers.

The Planned Parenthood abortion chain has been caught repeatedly performing abortions on abuse victims as young as 12 and 13 years old, failing to report suspected sexual abuse to authorities, and sending victims back to their abusers. A new investigative report report released yesterday chronicles these cases and reveals Planned Parenthood’s decades-long pattern of helping child sex abusers cover up their crimes.

Now, in the new video from Live Action, former staff members for the abortion company went further and said that reporting of sex trafficking was also discouraged by Planned Parenthood supervisors. Even though Planned Parenthood is required under law to be a mandatory reporter and to inform law enforcement about sexual assault on young women, the former Planned Parenthood managers say they were discouraged from calling it in.

Included are testimonies like this one from Sue Thayer, a former Planned Parenthood Manager from Storm Lake, Iowa:

“We were all required to be mandatory reporters, but, if we saw a case – questionable abuse or even for sure, I mean, this kid is being abused – we really were discouraged from calling it in, just because they didn’t want to have the trouble – the angry parent, the angry boyfriend, whatever it was. So, more than once I was told, ‘No, that is not reportable. You don’t need to call it in.’“

Monica Cline, a former health educator who worked with Planned Parenthood in Texas and New Mexico tells this story:

“[Planned Parenthood workers] adopted George Bush’s ‘Don’t ask, don’t tell’ [policy]… If we don’t ask how old her partner is, we don’t have to tell. And so Planned Parenthood actually allows victims of human trafficking to continue to be victims of human trafficking. And they’re okay with that. I went back to my office and I told my supervisor, listen, I’m trying to teach them about key concepts on Title X; they’re admitting that they’re not going to report cases of statutory rape.”

And Ramona Treviño, a former Planned Parenthood manager from Sherman, TX, discusses what Planned Parenthood really did after it was caught aiding people posing as human traffickers and then pledged to retrain thousands of workers to report abuse and trafficking:

“I raised my hand and I said, ‘I’m confused, when are we going to actually begin the retraining? What can I do as a manager to take this information back to my staff and enforce policies and procedures that would help protect women who are experiencing either sex trafficking or sexual abuse in any way?’ [The trainer] immediately shot me down and she said, ‘We’re not here to talk about that, Ramona. We’re here to teach you how to identify if you’re being videotaped or recorded or entrapped in any way.”

As LifeNews has documented multiple times, Planned Parenthood has a history of not reporting statutory rape or sexual abuse to authorities. The abortion corporation frequently covers up cases of rape with abortion and refuses to report rape cases to law enforcement.

Planned Parenthood abortion clinics have come under fire countless times over the years for not reporting cases of statutory rape to authorities as required by state law. In another case in Arizona, officials said a Planned Parenthood center failed to provide the proper report to authorities about a victim of a young man accused of being a serial rapist. Planned Parenthood failed to report the rape, and the young man allegedly raped 18 or more teenage girls before he was caught, according to authorities.

In 2008, a Planned Parenthood in Bloomington, Indiana was exposed for agreeing to help cover up the sexual abuse of a minor in an undercover sting.

In another case in Ohio, Planned Parenthood faced a lawsuit after it failed to report the statutory rape of a 14-year-old girl. The girl’s soccer coach got her pregnant and then took her to the abortion clinic to cover up his crime, LifeNews reported.

Planned Parenthood has been caught numerous times ignoring signs of sexual abuse or even covering up the abuse.

In March 2015, Life Dynamics wrote for LifeNews.com about a California man who sexually abused two of his daughters and took the younger one to Planned Parenthood for two abortions in 2010. Court documents indicated that the abortion facility did not report the suspected abuse of the 13-year-old girl to authorities. The girl said she did not tell clinic staff that her father had impregnated her, but instead made up a story about having a boyfriend her own age.

The Life Dynamics criminal cases summaries include another young girl who was raped for an additional 1 ½ years after her 44-year-old abuser took her to Planned Parenthood for an abortion. In another case, a young victim was taken to Planned Parenthood for an abortion after her abuser sexually assaulted her at the age of 15.

And an Ohio Planned Parenthood faced a lawsuit for failing to report the sexual abuse of the young girl. The case involved a 22-year-old soccer coach who was convicted of sexually assaulting a 14-year-old girl on his team, LifeNews reported. According to reports, he statutorily raped the girl; and when she became pregnant, he took her to Planned Parenthood to abort their unborn baby.

The abuse extends to sex trafficking victims as well. In 2011, a Live Action investigationuncovered wide-spread willingness among Planned Parenthood employees to help sex traffickers abuse young teens.

The undercover sting caused public outcry, and the abortion chain promised to retrain its staff about identifying sex trafficking victims and abuse. However, a former abortion clinic worker said Planned Parenthood did not fulfill its promise to the public, and trained its employees on how to spot undercover investigators instead.

Arab/Muslim racism and slavery: Africans Tortured, Sold into Slavery in Algeria…

DAKAR (Thomson Reuters Foundation) – Dozens of Africans say they were sold for labour and trapped in slavery in Algeria in what aid agencies fear may be a widening trend of abusing migrants headed for a new life in Europe.

Algerian authorities could not be reached for comment and several experts cast doubt on claims that such abuses are widespread in the north African country.

Amid a surge in anti-migrant sentiment, Algeria since late last year has sent thousands of migrants back over its southern border into Niger, according to the United Nations Migration Agency (IOM), where many tell stories of exploitation.

The scale of abuse is not known, but an IOM survey of thousands of migrants suggested it could rival Libya.

The Thomson Reuters Foundation heard detailed accounts of forced labour and slavery from an international charity and a local association in Agadez, Niger’s main migrant transit hub, and interviewed two of the victims by telephone.

“The first time they sold me for 100,000 CFA francs ($170),” said Ousmane Bah, a 21-year-old from Guinea who said he was sold twice in Algeria by unknown captors and worked in construction.

“They took our passports. They hit us. We didn’t eat. We didn’t drink,” he told the Thomson Reuters Foundation. “I was a slave for six months.”

Accounts of abuse are similar, said Abdoulaye Maizoumbou, a project coordinator for global charity Catholic Relief Services. Of about 30 migrants he met who were deported from Algeria, about 20 said they had been enslaved, he said.

In most cases, migrants said they were sold in and around the southern city of Tamanrasset shortly after entering the country, often by smugglers of their own nationality, he said.

Some said they were tortured in order to blackmail their parents into paying the captors, but even when the money arrived they were forced to work for no pay, or sold, said Maizoumbou.

One man told the Thomson Reuters Foundation he slept in a sheep pen and suffered beatings if an animal got sick or dirty.

“They would bring out machetes and I would get on my knees and apologise and they would let it go,” said Ogounidje Tange Mazu, from Togo.

The IOM in Algeria has received three reports this year from friends and relatives of African migrants held hostage and forced to work in the country. “It’s probably just an indication that it is happening. How big it is we don’t know,” said its chief of mission Pascal Reyntjens.
